Pat Sherman is a founding partner of Sherman & Armbruster, LLP.
Prior to starting Sherman & Armbruster, LLP, Pat started
out as a sergeant in the United States Army. He then went on to become a sergeant for the Indianapolis Police Department while working towards his Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting, which he obtained from Indiana University in 1976. Pat earned his Certified Public Accountant’s certification in 1980 and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Indiana CPA Society.
Pat currently serves on the Board of Directors and chairs the Audit Committee of First Merchants Bank. Pat also serves on the Executive Committee and Board of Directors of the Johnson County Development Corporation. Other boards Pat currently serves on include: First Merchants Charitable Foundation, Washington Jefferson Williams Foundation, Center Grove Trails, Inc., and the Baxter YMCA.
In addition, Pat is Vice-President (and past president) for the Greenwood Board of Aviation Commissioners and is Controller for the Johnson County Solid Waste Management District. He is a member (and past president) of the Greenwood Rotary Club and member (and past board member) of the Greenwood Chamber of Commerce.
Pat's past board positions include: Indiana Stadium Convention Building Authority, Lincoln Bank and Heartland Bank. Previous civic involvement includes Chairman of the White River Township/Greenwood Reorganization Committee, member of the City of Greenwood Abatement Committee, City of Greenwood Aquatics Committee, and Greenwood Sertoma Club.
Pat attends Saints Francis and Clare Catholic Church. In his spare time, Pat enjoys spending time with his family, which includes his wife, two daughters and four grandchildren.
